Leading Our Program
Our practice is led by Endocrinologist and Physician-Scientist Dr. Carolina Solis-Herrera. She is a Voelcker and a Doris Duke Scholar and has received numerous honors including UT's Outstanding Women in Medicine Award, Young Rising Star Award and was listed as one of San Antonio's Best Doctors.
Dr. Solis-Herrera specializes in the advanced treatment and prevention of diabetes and cardiometabolic endocrinology.
Our Clinical Program
Our team is made up of board-certified endocrinologists, certified diabetes educators (CDEs), registered dietitians (RDs) and nurse practitioners (NPs).
We focus on providing the most advanced medical care and utilizing the latest medications and technology to provide the most advanced care to our patients.
Clinical Trials
UT Health San Antonio has ongoing clinical trials for diabetes. We research diabetes through our network of partnerships with the South Texas Veterans Health Care System and the Texas Diabetes Institute.
